minilessons

November 9, 2009

Minilessons.  I believe that I will need to teach minilessons

for each step of the I-search process.   We will start with

lessons on developing a search worthy question, how

to take notes, reliable sources of information, primary

vs. secondary sources, etc.  This process will be as new

to my students as it is for me, so we will take it one step at

a time and learn from each other.  I look forward to it.

Session 4

November 2, 2009

Good afternoon,

I found this session to make quite a bit easier than

the last one.  I have already used the site I set up on

Google to help students start their mythology projects.

Yeah!

Session 3

October 27, 2009

I have successfully established an account in delicious and bookmarked several Poe sites.  From clicking on the blue button on the first site I bookmarked I was able to find a very useful site showing digital pictures of Poe’s house as well as several teacher tube readings of stories and poems.  Very useful for my 8th grade Poe project coming up.

Session 1 Post

October 13, 2009

I love the idea of using blogs with my 7th and 8th grade students.  Especially for the increase in motivation.  I could use some help with ideas of how to use it effectively.  Our computer lab is only available for each class about once a week at most.

Hello world!
